Typography Poster

Goal

The goal of this project was to design a typography poster illustrated only with the typeface selected.

Process

The process for this project began with research and selection of the typeface Garamond because I appreciate the elegance and timeless legibility of its characters. After some research, I discovered that Garamond is often used in editorial design, especially in fictional print. I therefore chose to illustrate the extensive literary usage of this font through the type rendered storybook castle. To complete the design, the detail of the castle is balanced by the simplicity of the overall poster design. The color scheme reflects the French origins of the typeface.
